Dancer, Collaborator


Alix Schillaci is a Chicago based mover and dancemaker. Under the direction of Sandra Kaufman, Amy Wilikinson, and Sarah Cullen Fuller, Alix received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Loyola University Chicago in 2016. In addition to her work with Loyola’s dance faculty, Alix has trained extensively with Northwest Dance Project in Portland, Oregon and The Cambrians here in Chicago. She has also performed in works by Penny Saunders, Joseph Caruna, Ching Ching Wong, Patrick Delcroix, and Darling Shear. 

As a dancemaker, Alix received special recognition in student choreography from Loyola University. Since graduating she has presented live and digital work through iO Chicago, Mess Hall, and Senn High School for the Arts. Alix previously interned with Chicago Dancemakers Forum and acted as teaching assistant for The Autism Project through Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. 

In addition to her work with the company, Alix currently works as a freelance performer and choreographer around the city. She can occasionally be found eating vegetables on stage with Emily Loar. This will be her third season with Project Bound.
